Flood threat in Muthur area
Due to the bad weather in Trincomalee district all the areas have been effected and people are displaced. Kanthale, Serunuwara, Surangal, Kinniya, Koviladi, Samagipura, Samanala palama, Ralkuli, Neelapola, walthoddam, Punniadi, Ichchalampaththu and either sides of Mahaweli river are flooded badly. There is a threat of damaging the bund of the Mavilaru tank and people around is advised to be vigilant on the situation. People either side Mahaweli river is already effected and the people further away either sides are advised to be vigilant on flooding.

Bad weather condition in Trincomalee district
Due to the bad weather condition exists in Trincomalee district, most of the areas have affected by flood situation. 18 displaced families in Muttichena area are temporarily located at Muttichena Vidayalaya. 35 displaced families in Munniadi area are temporarily located at Munniadi primary school. 85 displaced families of Thanganagar are tenporarily located at Thanganagar school. 15 displaced families of Pattithidal area are temporarily located at Pattithidal library. 400 displaced people in Somapura area are temporarily located at Somapura Somadevi vidyalaya. With the above mentioned displaced nomber, 5636 members of 1556 families in Trincomalee district are displaced by morning of 2014.12.26. Sri Lanka Army, Navy, STF, Police and government authorities are busy in providing aids and shelters to the people who are displaced. Irrigation department and disaster management center notices the people to be vigilant on the situation.
LTTE's Explosives found at Nawarathnakulam
A hidden explosive stock of LTTE was found at Nawarathnakulam,Motteyadikulam area on 20145.12.23. A person who has seen a blue colored barrel underground which was appear due to rain, has complained this to the Navy camp nearby. Navy camp officials have come there and found these explosives inside the barrel.
Election Clashes at Gomarankadawala
Two key politicians were clashed at Gomarankadawala Divisional secretariat office on 2014.12.23. According to the key politician of Gomarankadawala, a key opposition party politician has attacked him at the postal vote center at Gomarankadawala divisional secretariat. He has admitted to Trincomalee hospital. Trincomalee court has ordered the police to arrest the suspects and forward them to the court on 2014/12/31.

suspected driver arrested
A driver who is suspected for a killing of a pedestrian by careless driving, was arrested by Uppuweli police on 2014.12.23. A person was dead due to an accident at Uppuweli on 2014.12.20 evening. Suspect has driven his double cab and has escaped. Uppuweli police arrested him on an information received and conducts the investigations.
60 kg of venison arrested
Three persons were arested by Serunuwara police with 60 kgs of venison at 9.30 pm on 2014.12.22.Serunuwara police conduct investigations
An elephant died
An elephant was dead in Thambalagamuwa jungle on 2012.12.21 evening. It has been there for two days in sick condition and dead. Army soldiers and people in the area tried there maximum to save it but they failed.
An accident at Thambalagamuwa
A Bolero cab ran out of the Trincomalee- Kanthale road at Jayapura at 10.30 am on 2014.12.21. The cab (EPPT 1137 was running from Kinniya to Dambulla. Cab is damaged and no injuries.

Accident at Muthur
A bus ran out of the road and crashed in to a tree at Muthur on Trincomalee-Batticaloa road. Accident was took place at 4pm on 2014.12.20. There were 10 people who were returning from Trincomalee to Batticaloa after a picnic by the bus. 10 were injured and one child was dead. All were admitted to Muthur and Trincomalee hospitals. Muthur police conducts investigations.
Heavy rains disturbs Kanthale area
Due to heavy rains exist in Kanthale area for two days, day to day activities in Kanthale and areas around are disturbed. 23 families in Thalgaswewa, 10 families in Paththinipuram and many more from Kanthale, sooriyapura, Jayanthigama, Thambalagamuwa and Serunuwara are displaced. Army, Police,STF,Navy and government officials are in the process of locating families in safe places and providing administration. Kanthale tank and its sub tanks are overflowing.

President visited Trincomalee
President Mahinda Rajapaksha visited Trincomalee area on 2014.12.19. First he visited Serunuwara temple and then attended for a meeting at Serunuwara. Government politicians and around 3000 people attended in the meeting. He visited Kinniya in the evening and attended in the meeting at Kinniya UC ground. A protest at Thambalagamuwa
A protest was organized by the merchants of Thambalagamuwa fare on 2014. 12. 18 in front of the Thambalagamuwa Pradeshiya Sabha. Reason for the protest is that the Pradeshiya Sabha has not allowing them to put their shops in the newly constructed building. Though the construction is finished before 3 months the building is remaining vacant. The chairman came the place and promised to release building after 8th January 2015. The protestors went away with a hope of having a solution.
Accident at Thambalagamuwa
A vehicle of Thambalagamuwa police and a three wheeler met with an accident on 2014.12.18. The vehicle of police (WP KP 5356) and three wheeler (NE YG 0062) are damaged and an 11 years old girl was admitted to Kanthale hospital with minor injuries. Thambalagamuwa police conducts investigations.

BLOOD DONATION CAMPAIGN BY TRINCOMALEE CITIZEN'S COMMITTEE
Trincomalee district citizen committee organized a blood donation campaign with the support of General hospital Trincomalee on 10 December 2014 at cultural centre, Kanthale. Citizen committee officials and members are participated the event and more than 150 people participated to donate blood.

Mithree's new office at Kanthale
A new office of Mithree Sirisena was opened in Kanthale on 2014.12.07. This event was presided by MP Daya Gamage. MKDS Gunawardhana and several politicians were attended in the event. Around 200 were attended in the meeting.
Illegal immigrants arrested
Four illegal immigrants were arrested by Tincomalee police on 2014.12.05. They were planing to migrate to Australia illegally by sea. They will be forwarded to Trincomalee court on Monday.

A tense situation in EPC
During the EPC session on 2014.12.01, a tense situation was emerged. Before conducting the voting session for the budget chair woman suggested to postponed the session. TNA members were against that and tense situation was emerged. The session was postponed to 2014.12.02.
